Zinhle Shabalala, who is well known by her running name of ‘Mini Cooper’, is still leaving her opposition in the dust out on the roads. She has conquered yet another marathon!

Shabalala ended the year in fantastic style by coming out on top in the Josiah Gumede Half-Marathon.

Her winning time was a blistering one hour and 19 minutes. She wins some money from her numerous victories, but she uses that to give back to the community of Ladysmith and surrounding areas.

Recently, she gave a family a full hamper of groceries and other food to help them at the end of the year.

Well done, Mini Cooper – keep that ‘rev counter’ high and keep ‘roaring’ along to more victories to make Ladysmith proud!
