Danny Cat gives road safety tips to children:-

· Walk as far from the edge of the road as possible

· Remember to STOP at the curb/verge of the road – this should become a habit

· Magical chant: ‘look right, look left, look right again’ before crossing the road

· Listen for oncoming traffic

· Do not run in the road

· Do not run across the road

· Concentrate when you cross the road (don’t get distracted by your friends and cellphone when crossing the road)

· Never cross between parked cars

· Always cross the road at a pedestrian crossing, scholar patrol, traffic light or where a traffic officer is on duty

· Look over your shoulder to check for turning vehicles when crossing at a traffic light

· Remember: when you can’t see the car, the driver can’t see you!
