Bright Start shares a meal with the elderly
Staff shared a meal and meaningful moments with the elderly.
The staff of Bright Start Academy continued their monthly feeding scheme by visiting the Aryan Benevolt Home in Glencoe on August 29.
Aryan Benevolt Home is an old age home caring for residents aged 65 and above.
A group of the school’s staff members had the opportunity to take part in this special experience, preparing and sharing meals with the elderly residents.
Sharing more than a meal
“What began as an act of giving quickly became a meaningful exchange of kindness, conversation, and companionship,” said the school.
They continued: “The visit was a truly heartfelt experience for the staff, who were touched by the warmth and appreciation shown by the residents.”
The school said that spending time with the elderly reminded everyone of the importance of community, compassion, and simply taking the time to make someone feel valued.
They further said they were proud to continue their monthly feeding scheme, which aimed to give back to different members of the community and to make a positive difference beyond the school grounds.
“The August visit to Aryan Benevolt Home was a memorable reminder that even a simple meal shared with others can create moments of connection and joy,” they concluded.
