Suspected copper thieves to appear in court

Police stopped the vehicle and found that the boot was full of copper wire

Three men accused of being in possession of suspected stolen property will be appearing in court tomorrow (May 10) for a bail application.

Police officers stopped a sedan at a vehicle check-point on Tuesday last week (May 3) and discovered that the boot was loaded with copper wire. The occupants, aged between 28 and 34, failed to account for the property.

They were promptly arrested and the vehicle has been impounded.
