Mweni Mountain Marathon successes

The Mweni Mountain Marathon, consisting of races of various distances, took place on May 7 from the Mweni Cultural & Hiking Centre in the Northern Drakensberg.

Five runners who do a regular training run from Mac’s Café at Cedarwood Shopping Centre in Cathkin Park participated and did extremely well.

Results:

Men (10km): 

First – Mbongisene Mbele.

Second– Bongani Makhatini.

Third – Jethro Comins.

Ladies (10km):

Second – Claudia Slattery.

Men (20km):

First – Petros Hlongwane.
