Drakensberg Football Club (FC) continued to dominate the Regional League by thrashing Real Magic 3-0 in the Top 8 final last weekend.

The Top 8 competition was played at the Kandahar Avenue sports ground. Only the teams that finished in the top eight places in the Wise Group Men’s Regional League got to compete.

Drakensberg FC are the champions of the league this season and now they have added the Top 8 cup to their silverware. This makes them the first team to win the ‘double’ in the league!

In the semi-finals, Drakensberg beat Tsaman Academy 2-1 and Real Magic defeated Qhakaza FC 2-0 to advance to the finals. Drakensberg FC displayed more ‘magic’ than their opponents in the final to stamp their authority on the game and walk away as victors.

The Provincial ABC Motepe League (second division) play-offs will be contested next weekend, where Drakensberg FC will be representing the Uthukela District. They are wished all the best!
