On the greens to fight cancer

The weather was perfect for a great day of bowls and fellowship, of course remembering all those who have passed away or who are suffering due to cancer.

A total of 24 pairs teams from all over Northern KZN entered the Slabbert / Arndt Cancer Awareness Sponsored Day competition.
It was also great to see so many new bowlers on the greens.

At the end of the three games played, it was Rudi and Melanie who found themselves holding ‘The Stone’. They may be new bowlers, but we commend them for entering the competition and being great opponents.
Rita and Taryn ended in third place, Sylvia and Louis in second, with co-sponsors Dougie and Essie Slabbert winning the competition.
Congratulations to all who participated.
Safe travels and good bowling to those members competing in the Zone Singles Competition in Newcastle this coming weekend.
