Uthukela Netball held the second leg of District League games on Sunday (July 28) at the Winterton Sports Complex.

Comprising eight ladies’ teams and four men’s teams, the occasion was graced by the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture in support of this wonderful initiative.

Five clubs were supported by way of sporting equipment that included balls and other important items necessary for netball training.

Also present on Sunday was seasoned netball coach Jabulani Vilane, who is the current South African Men’s Netball coach. Vilane led the team to a silver medal in the Americas Netball Men’s Championships in 2022, playing countries like Jamaica, Grenada and others.

The next games will be held at Inkosi Langalibalele (Estcourt-Lambert Park) on Sunday, August 25.
