Multiple injuries in afternoon collisions on Albert Wessels Drive and N11
Around 30 people were involved in the collision that left traffic at a standstill in the busy intersection.
A bus, a bakkie, and a light motor vehicle were involved in the collision on Albert Wessels Drive this afternoon (November 26).
Paramedics on site treated multiple people, two with moderate to serious injuries and around seven with minor injuries.
The injured were transferred to the hospital, while the remainder of the passengers who escaped unhurt were transported by another bus away from the scene.
The exact cause of the collision remains unclear at this stage.
Two people were injured, one seriously, earlier this afternoon following a crash on the N11 near Ingogo.
Craig Botha of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service said when emergency services arrived on the scene they found one patient had sustained critical injuries and another serious injuries.
Both patients received immediate medical attention on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
