Lewis and Owen do battle at Lakeside’s athletics day

Lakeside Park Primary School recently hosted their athletics day, contested by two teams.
The learners were either on the Lewis team or the Owen team; Lewis team members wore blue while the Owen team wore red. The weather was perfect, as it was not cold or too hot.
The learners were ready to battle it out in the different sporting codes on offer.
Team Lewis emerged as champions of the day, winning with a score of 283 to 210.
Mlondi Zulu was one of the learners who stood out, winning the 2000 metres for boys. Simpiwe Delport made the girls proud by winning the 1500-metre race. The Junior Victor Ludorum award went to Wonder Mavuso, while the Junior Victrix Ludorum was received by Naomi Dunn. Ayabonga Shange did it for the senior phase pupils, winning Senior Victor Ludorum, while there was a tie for Senior Victrix, which went to Taneel Vilakazi and Anathi Dlamini.
