Paramedics treat seven after two vehicles crash on Memel Road

Paramedics treated multiple patients after a bakkie and car collided on Memel Road in Newcastle this past weekend.

Seven people were injured, three critically, in a collision involving a bakkie and a car on Memel Road in Newcastle at around 08:00 on Saturday morning, July 12.

Craig Botha of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service said that when paramedics arrived on the scene, they immediately initiated advanced life support.

“The patients were stabilised and transported to various hospitals for further treatment,” said Botha.

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation by the relevant authorities.
