One person has died following a serious accident on Drakensberg Drive on the evening of April 3.

According to Charles Steyn of Magenta Medical Services, emergency teams received a call for assistance shortly after 18:00.

Passengers seriously injured

Upon arrival at the scene, responders found four occupants in the vehicle.

“One person was declared dead on the scene, while two others sustained critical injuries and another suffered minor injuries,” said Steyn.

The injured were stabilised on site before being transported to hospital for further medical treatment.

The cause of the collision remains unclear at this stage and is subject to an ongoing police investigation.
