Mini-sub failures knocked out power in large parts of Dundee

Electricians are working on restoring power to large swathes of Dundee after the three mini sub-stations failed in the early hours of the morning.

Municipal sources said mini substations in the Colley Street area, Sibongile, and in Strathmore Park area had all failed shortly after the scheduled 11pm-1 am load shedding last night, into the early morning.

The town area of Dundee and other areas have power.

No timeline was given on when power would be restored.
