Endumeni left waterless after claims that guard drowned in dam
Officials expect the water supply to be restored later in the day.

Endumeni has been left without water since yesterday after unconfirmed reports claimed that a security guard drowned in the raw water dam that supplies the Biggarsberg Water Works.
Authorities said the body was retrieved this morning and the raw water dam drained for cleaning and disinfecting.
Once that process has been completed, the plant will be started for purification and the water supply restored.
SAPS divers were sent to Dundee to assist in the operation, sources said.
Cllr Naresh Gopie told the Courier that ‘the unprecedented situation occurred at the water plant which is being investigated at the moment. “Please be patient as the team is already on site accessing same before water supply is restored.”
