Criminals steal water pump in Wembezi
Communities are urged to work together with uThukela in combating vandalism.
uThukela District Municipality has reported yet another instance of its infrastructure being destroyed at the Wembezi Water Plant. Criminals have stolen the pump that was going to be used to supply water to the communities of Wembezi and Ntabamhlophe.
“This puts the situation of water supply at risk if the one that is currently being pumped is disrupted. We urge the public to co-operate with us, as a municipality, in stopping these criminals,” said uThukela in a statement.
