Shots were fired, but luckily no one was injured in the robbery.

Police have launched a manhunt for the robbers that targeted a cash-in-transit vehicle on the R600 road near Waffle Hut on June 9.

According to reports, heavily-armed suspects blocked the cash-in-transit van and ordered the security personnel to get out of the vehicle. Explosives were used to gain access to the cash. The road was temporarily closed while police carried out their investigation at the scene.
