Two bodies were found in a forested area on a farm outside Vryheid on July 3. A worker on the farm made the gruesome discovery and alerted his employer, who in turn contacted local police.
The deceased were both male; one fair in complexion and the other dark. The men were found lying face down on the ground. They had been shot; one in the back and the other in the head.
Police say that the area was searched for evidence, but no empty cartridges were found at the scene. They believe the two victims were possibly killed elsewhere and their bodies then dumped in the forest.
