Bodies found tied in Buffalo River spark murder probe

The brutal murder of two men whose bodies were found in the Buffalo River, near Dicks Halt, with their hands bound, has sparked an intensive police investigation.

According to Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications Officer, Lizzy Arumugam, police were called to the gruesome scene where both victims were discovered floating in the water.

“Both victims had sustained severe injuries to their heads and bodies,” confirmed Arumugam.

The victims have not yet been identified, and the motive for the killings remains unclear.

Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Osizweni SAPS.
