Clean water floods Illing Road bus rank

uThukela employees affiliated to SAMWU are on strike

Today (December 1), water can be seen gushing out from a leak at the Illing and Cemetery Road intersection.

The clean drinking water flows down from the intersection, straight to the Illing Road bus rank.

“This is uncalled for! We suffer with dry taps in our residential areas and to see water going to waste like this is irritating,” said one commuter.

uThukela employees who are affiliated with the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) are on strike and are picketing outside the uThukela District Municipality offices.
