Police were summoned to Pomeroy Clinic last Sunday after a 35-year-old woman was suspected of ‘concealment of birth’ by a nurse.
Although the woman was bleeding heavily, she denied the accusation, saying that she had no idea what had happened to her.
A stillborn baby was later found in the suspect’s house, in a pit toilet, after an investigation by the authorities.
The suspect appeared in court last week after a docket for birth concealment was opened.
Dundee:
A case of fraud was opened after a woman’s bank card got stuck in the ABSA ATM when she tried to withdraw money last Sunday. She later saw an SMS on her phone, indicating that R4000 had been withdrawn from her account.

Suspects made off with internet / computer wiring in Karelandman Street.
Inquest:

Copper cabling worth an estimated R50,000 was stolen from a Glencoe Transnet substation on March 31.
A case of infrastructure tampering has been opened. No arrests have yet been made and the local SAPS are urging the community to come forward with any information pertaining to the case.
