Soup kitchen feeds those in dire need
Contact chairperson Judy Catin on 074 449 8598 if you would like to help
Five women from Limit Hill have joined hands to give back to the community. They formed ‘Soup Kitchen on the Go’, which helps unemployed and destitute people with a hot plate of food.
They feed up to 350 people every Sunday. The ladies are continually looking for ways to make a difference in the community, no matter how big or small. According to deputy chairperson Jennifer Rehman, the organisation is quite successful and they are grateful to all their sponsors. The soup kitchen started out as an initiative for Mandela Day, but now they have expanded their scope of activities.

On a weekly basis, the women hand out vegetables to elderly people in need. They don’t just focus on Limit Hill, but other parts of Ladysmith as well.
They are now looking for people who would like to join or donate to this cause. If you’re interested, you can contact chairperson Judy Catin on 074 449 8598.
