‘Rise Mzansi’ organisation gives back to the community

The aim of the movement was to help victims of the flooding

In an attempt to help flood victims, supporters and volunteers from the ‘Rise Mzansi’ organisation collected donations throughout KwaZulu-Natal in order to help families who have been affected.

A handover was done at St Paul’s Apostolic Church in Steadville early this month, where the donations included clothing for men, women and children.

20 families within the community of Steadville were helped, including people living in the hostel that is located near the church.

The day also included interactions with the community, where people outlined the issues they face on a daily basis. Rise Mzansi had an opportunity to tell residents about the organisation and their future plans, as well as how these plans will be implemented.

Rise Mzansi is currently working on a fundraising initiative which is aimed at helping St Paul’s Church with a gate and a JoJo tank, because the church is used as a shelter.
