70 learners and 12 programme leaders were present at the campsite

The programme was aimed at teaching leadership skills to the learners. Topics of discussion included ‘self leadership’, ‘leadership style’, ‘managing conflict’ and ‘identity’, finishing off with team-building games.

“We are very happy with how successful the programme was. Everything went very well and was supported by the principals. We are willing to help other schools as well. Because we are an NPO, assistance is welcomed in order to accommodate more schools,” said Sthe Mdakane from eThembeni.
