Animals escape truck collision
The cause of the crash is sketchy and will be investigated by police
One person was badly injured and others sustained minor injuries in a truck accident today (April 23) on the N3 near Ultra City.
Two trucks were involved.
Speaking to the Estcourt News, police officers at the scene commented that when the trucks collided, one of the vehicles swerved off the road and the other remained on the roadway. The latter was transporting livestock. The animals were lucky to escape injury and some of them ran into the nearest farm.
An occupant of one of the trucks was badly injured and treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital for further medical attention.

The freeway towards Durban was closed to allow towing services to complete recovery operations.
Police, ambulance services and firefighters from uThukela District responded to the scene.
