Lives lost as MKP taxi overturns and catches fire
It is reported that at least five people died
A fatal taxi accident happened yesterday morning (August 31), claiming numerous lives.
MKP members were allegedly travelling from Estcourt to Nkandla to celebrate the birthday of former president and MK president Jacob Zuma’s wife when the crash happened.

It is alleged that the taxi, which was transporting Estcourt MKP members, overturned near Kranskop and caught fire. It is further alleged that some party members lost their lives.
One MKP member told the Estcourt News that five people died; some burnt beyond recognition mostly are from Wembezi and Zwelisha.
Injured members were taken to nearby hospital for medical attention.
Authorities are still investigating.
