Uitvaal gets a face-lift courtesy of the municipality

The municipality encourages communities to keep their neighbourhoods clean

Another successful clean-up campaign by Alfred Duma Local Municipality was held on Thursday (October 24).

Led by Special Programmes Unit co-ordinator Mr Shaka Chonco, together with awareness officers, the municipality is continuing with its efforts to keep residential areas spick and span.

In an effort to promote ‘going green’, the programme was rolled out in Uitvaal’s Ward 35 and 36 area.

This campaign is targeting all wards that fall under the local municipality and has already been held in areas such as Colenso, Acacialvale and Ezakheni. According to Chonco, the plan is to reach all 37 wards within the Alfred Duma municipal jurisdiction.
