Champ group golf day is a swinging success
Newcastle Golf Club successfully hosted the 5th annual Champ Group golf day this past Saturday (November 30).
Despite the sweltering temperatures soaring above 30 degrees celsius, the event was hailed as a resounding success, with participants displaying their endurance and skill under challenging conditions. Every golfer received a good bag and lovely dinner was served after prize giving.

The ultimate Champions of the day was Z. Chen, N & T Khumalo and J Nkosi, they 4 Ball received a prize to the value of R50 000 sponsored by Emperors Casino.
Closest to the Pin on Hole number 5 was P Byron. to hole no 8 was Y Karim, and hole no 14 was P Smith. They have won total cash prizes to the value of R10000.
K Sharp won the longest drive on 1, and S Masondo won the longest drive on 10.
McCarthy Toyota Pietermaritzburg sponsored their prizes, and each player who took part in the day walked away with a prize.
Champ Group’s Johan Pieters thanks all the golfers for entering the day. He especially thanked all the sponsors and business partners who managed a waterhole or sponsored prizes.
The results were as follows:

4. Ashwin Harrilal/Kamil Singh/Ram Mewa/Babu (97 Points)
5. Jeff Tinkler/Charles Kemp/Pierre Joubert/Koos Botes (96 points onco).
