An unknown man was found dead in Pongola in the early hours of Sunday morning, with a stab wound to the chest. Police say he was stabbed with a sharp object. There are no concrete witnesses at this stage, but it is alleged that the man was already dead when he was found in a passageway between stores. A postmortem will be conducted. Police are investigating the case and are following up on all possible leads.
