The Apostolic Faith Mission celebrated Youth Day in style as they enthusiastically took part in sporting activities on Monday (June 16).

The morning started with congregation members waving placards at the Harrismith / Francis Road intersection to promote their church.

They later went on a fun walk out to 5SAI military base, where they participated in different sporting codes.

According to youth deputy chair Lungisani Khumalo, the aim was to encourage young people to be actively involved in some kind of sport. He said it wasn’t a day for speeches, but a day for young people to enjoy.

“The day was a huge success and we noted that young people are indeed interested in sports. We appeal to Good Samaritans out there to please sponsor us with soccer and netball kits,” pleaded Khumalo.
