Video: Woman injured after car flips in police vehicle collision

The injured lady driver was treated by paramedics after crashing into a police vehicle near roadworks.

A police vehicle and a private car collided at the intersection between Lyell Street and Princess Street this morning (July 3).

No one was hurt in the police vehicle, but the female driver of the private vehicle was injured after her car flipped onto its roof after hitting nearby roadworks.

Emergency services and Public Safety responded to the incident. Workers at a nearby store, together with rescue personnel, managed to free the woman from her vehicle.  She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a nearby hospital.
