Mayor Myeza celebrates his birthday by honouring the elderly

The happy senior citizens expressed gratitude for his compassionate gesture.

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality (ILM) Mayor Mduduzi Myeza celebrated his birthday on Tuesday (July 22) with a heartwarming gesture of generosity towards the senior citizens of Estcourt.

Hundreds of senior citizens, both men and women from all wards within ILM, gathered at the mayor’s homestead in Rensburg, also known as Esigodlweni, to celebrate the special occasion with him. Each and every senior citizen was gifted with a grocery parcel as part of the celebration.

The mayor’s day began at Estcourt Provincial Hospital, where he visited newborn babies delivered after midnight. He presented the newborns with essential items including nappies, wipes and dishes. The hospital staff were also acknowledged and given gifts in recognition of their dedicated service.
