Last week, as part of her Miss Teen SA journey, Mieke donated 150 ‘emergency kits’ to young girls at Arbor Park Primary School.

Each emergency pack contained:

• 2 sanitary pads
• 2 disposable hand wash cloths
• 1 disposable bag
• 1 disposable underwear
• 1 packet of fruit-scented wet wipes
• 1 mini rose hand soap

“If you ever feel embarrassed or alone, remember that you are part of a sisterhood. We lift each other up, we support one another, and we never let shame hold us back,” said Mieke.
