Thandile Nkabinde, Deputy Principal Academic Services of Majuba TVET College, led the College’s female staff members to the SAPS’s to formally hand over a memorandum. This act represented a symbolic gesture and a call to action in the ongoing fight against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF).
The memorandum urged the SAPS to actively participate in the national 100-Day Challenges to End GBVF.
“GBVF continues to ravage our communities, our homes, and our campuses. As an institution of higher learning, we cannot and will not remain silent while women, children, and vulnerable groups endure this ongoing crisis,” exclaimed Thanekile Dlamini, Student Support Services Manager & Chairperson of the College.
“Majuba TVET College reaffirms its commitment to being a space of safety, dignity, and empowerment for all. The time for silence is over. The time for action is now,” Dlamini assured.
