Police celebrate Heritage Day with colourful unity

Amajuba District SAPS members celebrated Heritage Day with vibrant cultural displays, music, and unity at Arbor Park Sports Grounds.

The Amajuba District South African Police Service (SAPS) members swapped their guns and badges for multi-coloured outfits to mark Heritage Day at the Arbor Park Sports Grounds on September 26.

Constable Langa, SAPs spokesperson, told the Advertiser that the day aimed to celebrate diversity within the SAPS.

“With more than 10 different cultures within the SAPS, each station and unit was assigned a culture and language. The aim was to portray it as accurately as possible.”

Music and smoked filled air indicated the SAPS’ diversity did not deter them from celebrating their colleagues.
