Two elderly residents lost their lives in a devastating house fire that broke out yesterday afternoon (October 21) in Delhi Road.

According to initial reports, the occupants of the house attempted to put out the flames themselves before emergency services arrived. Despite their efforts, the fire spread quickly, leading to the tragic death of a brother and sister living in the home.

Neighbours expressed shock upon learning of the incident, with many saying they had no idea a fire was even burning inside the house.
