Local and district police officers traded their uniforms for elegant evening wear as they celebrated their remarkable achievements over the past year.

The prestigious second annual SAPS Amajuba District Excellence Awards took place on Friday evening (October 31) at Blue Ridge Farm, where officers gathered in high spirits to honour each other’s outstanding service and dedication to their communities.

Three people are pictured celebrating an award during an award ceremony. A white, bold man is seen smiling at another woman while both of them are holding a framed certificate, with a second man also in the picture.

The atmosphere was nothing short of jovial, filled with banter, laughter, and continuous cheering and applause as the officers made their way to the stage to be recognised for their hard work.

Amajuba District Commissioner Major-General Fred Alexander did the keynote address, where he congratulated all members for their outstanding work, their dedication to serving and protecting and for making a significant difference to the overall safety within the Amajuba District.

He also welcomed special guests, including the CPF, various security companies and department heads from the provincial hospitals, the Department of Education and the Regional Taxi Association, who all contributed to fighting crimes and eliminating criminal activities within their communities.

Adding to the festivities was a jaw-dropping performance from Ndimande Primary School, who left everyone standing in awe of their talent.
