Successful New Year’s Eve bash held at Wembezi Stadium

Music and entertainment lovers enjoyed an unforgettable night as they welcomed 2026 in grand style.

The much-anticipated New Year’s Eve celebration known as the KZN Year-End Music Experience was successfully held at Wembezi Stadium last night (December 31). The event ushered in the new year in grand style, attracting thousands of music lovers from across the province.

Despite rainy weather conditions, the enthusiasm of the crowd remained high, with the stadium filled to capacity as revellers enjoyed an unforgettable night of entertainment.

The event featured performances by a number of popular artists such as Khuzani, Mthandeni, Umafikizolo and many others, who kept the audience up on their feet throughout the night.

Several government officials were in attendance, including Arts, Culture & Sport MEC Mntomuhle Khawula, as well as other provincial representatives. Municipal leadership was also present, led by Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality Mayor Mduduzi Myeza, alongside other municipal officials.
