BBQ chicken and bacon skewers

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into 12 bite-sized pieces
  • 12 slices streaky bacon
  • 80g barbecue sauce of your choice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Salt

Method

  • Season the chicken pieces with salt. Wrap each piece with a slice of bacon.
  • Thread three pieces onto each skewer to make four skewers.
  • Combine the barbecue sauce and honey in a bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts until warm and bubbling.
  • Brush the skewers evenly with the glaze.
  • Air fry at 205°C for 10 minutes.
  • Turn halfway through and brush with more glaze.
  • Serve immediately as a starter or main meal.

Cream cheese garlic buns with sticky ribs

Ingredients

  • 6 milk buns
  • 150g melted butter
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 175g cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup fresh cream
  • Pre-packed marinated sticky Asian pork ribs

Method

  • Preheat the air fryer to 180°C.
  • Cook the ribs for 20 minutes until tender and heated through.
  • Mix the melted butter, garlic and parsley in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese and fresh cream, then transfer to a piping bag.
  • Cut diagonal slits into each bun and pipe in the filling.
  • Dip each bun into the butter mixture, coating well.
  • Air fry at 180°C for 4–5 minutes until golden.
  • Serve the buns warm alongside the ribs.

Easy air fryer pesto pizza

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 tsp instant or active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup olive oil

Toppings

  • ¾ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ red onion, finely sliced
  • 3 tbsp basil pesto
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil, chopped

Method

  1. Sprinkle yeast over 1½ cups warm water and leave for a few minutes.
  2. Combine flour and salt. Mix in olive oil, then add the yeast mixture to form a sticky dough.
  3. Place in an oiled bowl, cover and leave for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C and lightly grease the basket.
  5. Roll out the dough to fit the basket and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add tomato sauce, mozzarella, tomatoes and onion. Season well.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  8. Mix pesto with olive oil and drizzle over the pizza. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
