Cook a hearty wors stew in under 30 minutes (recipe)

We’ve got you covered with a quick and simple, yet tasty, wors stew recipe, which is guaranteed to have everyone coming back for seconds.
Ingredients:
- 500 g boerewors
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 chopped cloves of garlic
- 2 thinly sliced carrots
- 2 cubed potatoes
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 tin of chopped tomatoes or four chopped fresh tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 cup of beef stock
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 2 tablespoon of oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for the garnish (optional)
Method:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot and brown the boerewors on all sides.
- Remove the wors and slice it into thick pieces, then set it aside.
- In the same pot, add the remaining oil and fry the onion, garlic, and green pepper.
- Add the curry powder, carrots, and potatoes and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef stock and continue stirring.
- Add the boerewors pieces back into the pot.
- Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes until the veggies are completely cooked.
- Season with salt and pepper and garnish with the parsley.
Serve with rice, pap, or bread and enjoy!
