Lincoln Heights Secondary School announced the untimely passing of its beloved deputy principal and art teacher, Mr AY Khan, on Sunday afternoon (May 24).

In a Facebook post, the school wrote:

“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved deputy principal and art teacher, Mr AY Khan. Mr Khan was more than an educator, he was a mentor, a leader, a source of inspiration and a truly kind soul who touched the lives of countless learners, colleagues and families throughout his years of service to our school.

“As deputy principal, he led with wisdom, compassion, patience and unwavering dedication to the growth and well-being of our school community.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, learners and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Sir. Thank you for the lives you shaped, the hearts you inspired, and the difference you made every single day. You will never be forgotten.”
