Hamilton orator crowned KZN champion

Tyrone Kriel won the Grade 8-9 category at the ATKV Redenaars Provincial Competition.

Hamilton College Grade 9 pupil Tyrone Kriel has been crowned the KwaZulu-Natal winner in the Grade 8-9 category at the prestigious ATKV Redenaars Provincial Competition.

Competing against some of the province’s strongest young speakers, Tyrone delivered an outstanding speech entitled ‘Belegging in mense’, presented under the theme ‘Mentor’, earning him first place.

This achievement has secured him a place at the National Finals, taking place in August, where he will represent KwaZulu-Natal among South Africa’s top young orators.
