Market Day highlights learner creativity at Inkanyiso School

Inkanyiso Special School's Market Day showcased learner-made products, creativity, entrepreneurship and community support for skills development.

Inkanyiso Special School recently held its Market Day just outside the school premises, providing learners with an opportunity to showcase and sell items they had produced through their skills development programmes since the beginning of the year.

Handmade products attract community support

A variety of handmade products were on display, with learners operating stalls where they sold items such as hats, wooden chairs, tailor-made traditional dresses and head wraps. They also showed off their creativity by making tables from recycled tyres and several other items.

The school expressed its gratitude to the community members who supported the initiative, despite the event not being widely advertised.

School representatives said they appreciate everyone who took the time to visit the stalls.
