The Old Tooters Club is hosting The Ultimate Car Show this coming Saturday at the Old Monte Vista Casino Grounds, 112 Drakensberg Road, from 09:00.

Attendees can look forward to a large variety of vintage cars, flea market and food stalls, a beer tent, live entertainment and a kiddies’ play area.

Wonderland Pre-Primary School to host Winter Family Fun Walk

  • Saturday, August 1:

Wonderland Pre-Primary School is hosting a Winter Family Fun Walk/Run this coming Saturday from 13:00. The walk will start at the school, located at 16 Hendrietta Street, Lennoxton.

Tickets cost R30 per person, while children in strollers can attend for free.

There will be medals and many more prizes up for grabs, with delicious doughnuts, pancakes and beverages available for sale on the day.

Parts People presents the 2026 Show Off Your Ride Motoring Festival

  • Saturday, August 1:

Autobarn Parts People will host its 2026 Show Off Your Ride Motoring Festival at the Farmers Hall this coming Saturday from 10:00 to 23:59.

Join them as they celebrate their 20-year anniversary with a day of automotive action, after-party vibes and entertainment.

Programme highlights: Big Bounce SA, an after-party, DB Drags Car Sound Competition, Stance Showcase, Show ’n Shine, exhibitor displays, a food court and beer garden, live DJs and a Vehicle Build Off Challenge.

Tickets cost R100 per person and will be available at the gate. Pensioners and children under 13 are free.

Newcastle Lions Club presents self-defence session

The Newcastle Lions Club will host a self-defence session in honour of Women’s Month from 09:00 to 13:00.

Registration is free. However, donations of newborn baby clothes and products are welcome and will be used as part of the Lions Club’s Mother and Baby Project.

The day will follow a four-ball American scramble format. Players can look forward to a variety of watering holes around the course, as well as numerous prizes, including a R50 000 hole-in-one prize.
