Hlathikhulu High School honours top learners
The school said this event is held to motivate the children to work hard so they can reach their full potential
Hlathikhulu High School recently celebrated and honoured the learners who excelled in academics from Term 1 to Term 3. The event was held at the school and will now be an annual fixture on the calendar.
The guest speaker was Professor Sithole, a former learner at Hlathikhulu High School and now an English lecturer at UKZN who has published a bestselling book. “By inviting him, we wanted to show our learners that they can still achieve a lot in life even though they come from a place that is not as developed as other areas.” The school also invited Inkosi Sibonelo Mkhize, an influential community leader and board member of the Ingonyama Trust.
