Pupils do some storytelling by using tableaux

The children had great fun depicting various scenes from upcoming plays

The Grade 7 pupils at Hamilton School showcased their creative storytelling skills through tableaux of their upcoming plays. Tableaux is basically a group of models or motionless figures representing a scene from a story.

Without speaking, they create a silent / still image to depict the scene, relying on body language, facial expressions or a few props.

Each group presented poignant scenes, expertly capturing the narrative arc of their plays from beginning to middle to end. It was great artistic fun for the pupils at the school!
