The Hamilton School boys’ hockey team kicked off their season in style, claiming a well-deserved silver medal at the pre-season tournament held at St Dominic’s in Newcastle recently. 

Competing in the B section, the team demonstrated their skills and determination throughout the tournament, ultimately finishing as runners-up. The final match against Sarel Cilliers was a nail-biter, with Hamilton narrowly losing 1-0.

Despite the tough loss, the team’s impressive performance did not go unnoticed. Ntando Hlatshwayo stole the show with his outstanding defensive play, earning him the prestigious ‘Defender of the Tournament’ award.
