Elegant matric farewell and rugby season mark milestones at VHS
Vryheid High honours the Class of 2025 and launches its 7s rugby season with enthusiasm.
Vryheid High School recently hosted its highly anticipated matric farewell. This is always an evening filled with glitz, glamour, excitement and heartfelt moments. The school hall was transformed into a luxurious setting, with learners dressed to impress. The girls dazzled in elegant gowns, while the boys displayed classic charm in their formal attire.
The arrival of the matriculants was a spectacle in itself, with many rolling up in fancy cars. The night was filled with warmth as emotive speeches were delivered in which the learners expressed gratitude to their educators and bade farewell to their high school journey.
The success of the farewell would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of parents, teachers and Ms Booyens, who deserve a huge thank you for their dedication and hard work.
The matric farewell marked the end of an era for the ‘Class of 2025’, but it will be exciting to see the new beginnings and opportunities that lie ahead for these talented individuals.
On a different note, the 7s Rugby season has kicked off at Vryheid High School. Following a series of trials last week, the senior and junior boys’ teams have been selected. Congratulations to all the boys who made it into the teams! They are wished the very best for their season ahead; may they play with sportsmanship, grit and determination.
