Congratulations to Phiwayinkosi Duma and Eishen Premsingh for their wonderful achievements.

Two bright learners from Drakensberg Secondary School (DSS) have made their school and community proud by excelling at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists 2025.

Grade 10 learner Phiwayinkosi Duma achieved outstanding success at the regional science fair held in Newcastle on August 19. Duma walked away with a gold medal and the award for Best Project in the Social Sciences (Psychology) category. His journey started at the district expo held at Forderville Primary School on May 5, where his hard work and innovative thinking earned him a spot at the regional competition. Out of 74 entries, Duma’s project stood out, securing him both gold and Best Senior Project in Social Sciences. He expressed gratitude to his school and principal for their continued support.
