Tugela staff celebrate Down Syndrome Day in colour
Tugela staff showed unity and raised awareness through colour.
Tugela Pre-Vocational School was filled with colour, warmth and unity as staff proudly dressed in blue and yellow to celebrate Down Syndrome Day on March 21.
This simple yet powerful gesture showed support, raised awareness and highlighted the importance of inclusion and acceptance.
The school extends its sincere thanks to every staff member who participated.
“Your enthusiasm and willingness to stand together in support of individuals with Down syndrome made a meaningful impact.”
A light-hearted moment added to the day when principal Riaan du Plessis inadvertently announced the dress code as formal instead of informal. Rising to the occasion, four educators embraced the mix-up and arrived dressed formally.
It was inspiring to see such a strong message of kindness, respect and understanding shared so visibly.
