Volksrust High School is celebrating a proud sporting achievement after three first-team hockey players recently earned recognition in the Mpumalanga provincial setup.

Through dedication, skill and hard work, Nhlakanipho Gwebu and Innocent Dlamini secured spots in the Mpumalanga C-team after impressive performances at a highly competitive level.

Adding to the school’s success, Siphesihle Bhembe was named as a non-travelling reserve, highlighting the depth of talent within the school’s hockey programme.

“This achievement marks an important milestone for the young athletes and reflects the continued growth of hockey at the school,” said Marietjie Steyn.
